According to the book that I am currently reading, our brain loves routines. But have you ever wondered why we feel so stuck on our daily lives? It is because we are unhappy or don’t have the feeling of accomplishment. Establishing a daily routine by making mini goals could help us feel pleasure which tweaks our brain which makes us feel satisfied. That feeling of satisfaction we encountered could lead us to what we called optimal experience. It is the feeling when we are enjoying something. That is the feeling that makes time too fast or too slow because it demands high concentration and focus when we are on that state of mind. So, I am sharing my top 10 tips on how to make life more satisfying.


Tip #1 | Make fixing your bed every morning a daily routine

Yes, this is one of the easiest task or mini goals that you could incorporate in your daily routine. According to studies, those who fix their bed before doing anything else in the morning are more productive compared to those who don’t.

Tip #2 | Make an initial checklist of your goals for the day

As I have said earlier, achieving goals no matter how big or small it is could help us feel pleasure. This could lead to enjoyment when we are on the state of optimal experience. So while your drinking coffee in the morning, it would be better if you organize the thoughts in your mind on what you should accomplish for the day. Most phones have built-in reminder app in which you could make checklists and list down your daily goals.

Tip #3 | Mark your checklist as completed after you accomplish the task

Trust me. I feel satisfied whenever I stared at my phone seeing all of my goals are in strikethrough. haha. I just feel satisfied that I did a job well done for the day. Just put in mind that your goals should always be SMART so that you could accomplish all of it within the day.

Tip #4 | Don’t forget to exercise

If you are not a fan of exercise, I suggest to do stretching in the morning. However, if you have a fitness goal, I suggest that you exercise on alternate days. This is to give your muscle time to recover especially if you are the one’s who frequently visit the gym.

Tip #5 | Find a hobby

Having a hobby will always make your day productive and could keep you busy. Hobby takes away those unnecessary negative thoughts. Well you don’t really need these kind of thoughts anyway. Some of my hobbies are reading self help books and creating blogs. Currently, I am hooked in reading self help books. Who else out there doesn’t want to be a better version of themselves? Well, these books are just helpful that somehow broadens my perspective in life. If you are not a reader then I would suggest watching Youtube videos. There’s also plenty of self help videos available out there you just have to find the one that suits your lifestyle.

Tip #6 | Keep a Diary

Whether random thoughts, budget plan, or any thoughts under the sun that you want to keep, a diary could be your greatest ally for these needs. This thing could help you track down all your personal histories and you could assure that you will not forget those important thoughts running on your mind. My personal preference is to keep this notebook as your secret. My advise is to keep this notebook away from others because they might be able to peek in your secret or plans. Maybe your dirty little secret. haha. 😋

Tip #7 | Get an Insurance

Its a different feeling when you have peace of mind. Let’s admit it that nothing in this world is permanent. So, in my personal opinion, it is better to secure our family. Go get your insurance, there’s plenty of packages out there to choose from depending on your current needs.

Tip #8 | Don’t be afraid to take risks when you are young

This is the best thing that I’ve ever done in my life. Taking risks let me discover that there’s so much potential in me besides my current skill set. Go outside that four cornered box that you virtually enclose yourself and you will discover that there’s so much life could offer. If you want something but your unsure of it, just do it. Don’t be such a pussy and trust me everything will be different. haha. 😋

Tip #9 | Travel at least once a year

There’s a study that travelling out of the country or just out of town could boost your productivity and your life satisfaction compared to those who don’t. So, spend your vacation leaves for something that could help yourself. I personally travel and I realized that every travel teaches me a life lesson that I could never learn if I stick to my daily routine, you know that home-office thing. This is quite hard if your in a budget but if you have the will then I believe everyone could make it. There’s something called peso challenges where you need to force yourself to save and it is available in Lazada. I highly suggest this method to save money for your next trip. Enjoy! 😀

Tip #10 | Be Thankful to our creator, to your friends, and to yourself

Lastly, don’t forget to thank our creator and treat yourself for a job well done. Thank your friends who is always there for you on the worst stage of your life. If you have these friends, then you are one of the lucky person in this world. Motivation is the key to go beyond your limits. At the end of the day, I hope that you have that feeling of fulfillment that you have achieved something new. Something that really matters to you.
